Leek and Potatoes

But with a twist. And not one for those on a diet!

The leeks are cooked in white wine, then mixed with cream cheese, and enclosed into filo pastry parcels.

The potatoes are sliced, part boiled, then layered with fried onions, and gruyere. The finishing touch is cream poured over the top.

Both the leeks and the potatoes are popped into the oven to cook

  1. I’ve been looking for a way to bake leeks tonight, to go with haggis stuffed chicken breast.
    That really does look tasty. I’ll not be using filo, but you’ve just given me a good method for making creamed leeks. I was struggling a bit

  2. I love this way of serving creamed leeks in filo. Also, the potato bake sounds and looks wonderful.
    It would be good to see some more recipes on your wonderful blog to make it more user friendly!
